Our Youth Exchange Program
|
|
Livonia Rotary has been an active participant in Rotary International
District 7120’s Youth Exchange Program since the early 1980s.
The Club typically sends one student from Livonia High School abroad
each year and accepts one from a foreign country.

Youth
Exchange Activities |
|
Every year, at the end of February or the beginning of March, the
Livonia Rotary Club sponsors a Winter Weekend at Camp Stella Maris on
Conesus Lake.
This event is made possible through the efforts and financial support of
two neighboring Rotary Clubs, Avon and Geneseo.
Check back at this page during mid-January to learn the date of the next
Winter Weekend event.

What
it’s like to be an exchange student
|
|
There are a great many rewards to being an exchange student, not the
least of which are traveling in beautiful foreign countries and
perfecting a second language.
Many students who have done Rotary Youth Exchanges have actually changed
their minds about their career paths. All for the better.
The cost with the Rotary International program is very reasonable—it
really amounts to round-trip airfare and a relatively inexpensive health
insurance policy. The Rotary program is far less expensive than other
exchange programs.
